The bank managed credit authorisation limits (CADs) for commercial lending managers through fragmented email threads and manually maintained spreadsheets.

As teams exchanged hundreds of emails to request, approve, or amend CADs, operational risk increased due to version mismatches, unauthorised updates, and missed approvals. The absence of workflow controls and reporting structure significantly slowed decision-making and regulatory responsiveness.

Solution Delivered

We delivered a centralised credit assessment management solution using a hybrid Excel–Access architecture. The system replaced scattered email chains with a structured, role-based application that tracks, updates, and reports on CADs with full, real-time visibility, oversight and auditability.

  • Real-time visibility into manager-level CADs, approval history, and change logs
